The current inspection fee was set in 1995. $25.50 is the current fee, $18.50 for emissions and $7.00 for safety. Today's dollars of $18.50 is now worth $38.14. That should be the new fee.

The cost of living has increased over 26 %. Wages have increased more than that. The emission fee has remained the same. When stations begin to drop the program, the remaining stations will become overloaded.
